Default 2004 accord ex v6 whining noise

Please help! I hear whining noise when I am cruising at about 40-60 mph. The steering wheel does not vibrate, and it does not pull to either side. The accelaration is relatively smooth and nothing else has changed, only the noise is present. Did anyone else experience the same? I don't even know what is this related to.

welcome to the forum leon718; enjoy your stay. if you know approx what the rpm is at 40-60 mph. while in park, open your hood and have someone rev the eng up to the rpm of 40-60 mph and listen to the alternator.
If not the alternator, check the tires, or rotate the tires and see if the same sound is present. Check your transmission for proper service level. Open or close your windows to check for whine. Easy things to start with.
