Default 2004 CRV Thermostat problems

2004 CRV thermostat bolts turn and aren’t stripped but will not come out, not even a little. What do I do?? It’s my moms truck.

Does not make sense.
If the bolt threads are not stripped then turning the bolt should move the bolt out?
Unless the bolt head is broken and just spins in place??
Go to https://www.hondafactoryparts.com/oe...at-19320pna003
Maybe you can get a picture of the offending piece??

I thought the same, I’ve tried pulling it and pushing it from the back at the same time, still nothing. I’ll get a pic from online and edit it so you can see which bolt I’m talking about. I’ll take a picture of the ACTUAL bolts tomorrow.

It’s this bolt, that hold the thermostat housing. And the three holes on the housing is what I’m having problems with.

possible the thread coil is locked to the bolt and spinning inside the aluminum case. (bolt thread screws into the thread coil to secure the bolt in place. the thread coil may have corroded and now spinning in the aluminum block as you turn the bolt ) if you can place a wedge between the bolt head and thermostat housing to create pressure on the thread coil, you might be able to turn the bolt lose.
