2008 Accord Coupe Rock Chip & Scratches
Hey Folks,
Attached are some pics of a 2008 accord coupe im thinking of buying . My questions are regarding the paint chip on the drivers side windshield post and the scratches and some touch up paint done on the lower quarter panel drivers side , in front of the rear tire. Are these a major rusting concern as I live in a northern city that uses road salt?
The rock chip on the windshield post is in a tough spot to fix properly I think, touch up paint will probably be the only option. The scratches on the lower quarter panel an be fixed reasonably with a touch up pen but will that rust over time? I already see a little brown color in a couple of the scratches.
Just wondering if its worth getting the car as everything else seems ok. The price is pretty good compared to some other cars Ive seen. About $1000 less.
Thanks
Jimmy

the scratches will buff out the chips can be touched up i wouldn't worry about it to much. if it was exposed metal it would already have surface rust. if there is rust sand it down prime and paint it or have a shop do it its such a small area it won't cost that much. otherwise just touch it up and drive it.
