2013 CRZ Stuck Parking Break -- Help!
I have a very lightly used 2013 Honda CRZ. I drive it pretty regularly and use the parking brake almost every time I park. After getting in my car and lowering the parking brake, I noticed the car wouldn't move. When I pull up on it, there is NO resistance from the lever until the second click, and then it exerts the normal amount of resistance. It feels like it's locked on. I can put the lever all the way down, and the parking brake light turns off, but the brake remains on, regardless of the lever's position.
I have tried going up and down a bunch with the lever in hopes of loosening it, I have tried rocking the car back and forth, shaking it, climbing underneath to see if anything looks awry, and even taking the plastic casing around the e-brake off. I am at a loss, and very frustrated. Please help!
