Does anyone know if the tweeters are hard wired to the head unit or an amp, or are they run off the speaker in the door. I bought a pair of component speakers that come with a 6.5 inch(for the front door) and the tweeter that runs off the same speaker. In my accord, I had to mount the tweeters and run them off the door speaker because I did not have a tweeter. Looking for anyone who has done an upgrade. Thanks

 

welcome to the forum. i have not done this mod but want to give you a heads up. before you mod your speakers, call your dealership service dept you purchased your car and ask them if doing the mod will void any part of your warranty. in the event your radio or nav dies, they can say you changed your speakers and that is what caused the failure, no warranty.
