Default 91 City - Brake Light Flickering

Hi all
Looking for some experts to help me with my 1991 honda city

The brake lights flicker when I turn the park lights on. The flickering lasts for about 30 seconds and slows down over time until it dies out eventually. This is not the park lights flickering it is the brake lights coming on and off. If i just touch the brake the park lights will flicker on and off in the same way. With the brake light flickering the interlock control switches on and off and my key will get stuck eventually for a certain amount of time. (I have disconnected the interlock control so that I can get my key out when I want to.)

I have figured out that:
It is not the brake light switch on the pedal. (disconnected and flickering continues)
Brake cylinder is full - Disconnected wires and still continues.

I believe that there is a timer circuit due to the flickering dying out pretty regularily. It isn't a brake pressure problem as the flickering dies out whether the brake is used or not or the car is on or not.

I am at my wits end. I have been looking for relays and timing circuits and there is nothing.

Any ideas on what to try next?

Thanks in advance
Daniel

welcome to the forum. Check for good connections at the light sockets, check ground, remove the line and clean them for good contact.

Thank you acmech52. I checked the bulbds and found that one of them had a loose internal connection. When it was heating up the wires connected better. After all that time I spent looking for a poked relay when I should have just checked the bulb. All part of the fun I suppose.

Ill be able to plug in the interlock again. Cheers!

Any way a big thank you is in order. I can now sleep in peace.
