Default 93 accord overheating

i have a 93 accord which is over heating. I replace the waterpump, timing belt, radiator and thermostat and its still overheating. I took off the thermastat and now it does not over heat. Now when the car heats up it smell like antifreeze inside of the car but i checked everywhere and there are not leaks. Any suggestions on what it might be or why it over heats with the thermastat on
?

Default RE: 93 accord overheating

Possible overheat, the rad fan does not kick in when the rad temp gets up to 210, smell of antifreeze may be coming from engine compartment past the center hood area ( the seal may be worn) and entering the inlet area outside, middle area of the windshield. Or there may be a open hole from the engine compt into the cab. When the car is at idle, and the temp goes up approx 3/4, does the fan go on. Also if the a/c is turned on, the fan also goes on.
