My wife has a 97 Accord. It seems to be idoling really low (around 500 rpm) when the AC is on. The whole engine shakes furiously. When the engine is reved up it quits shaking and runs fine. Also when it is idoling the air compressor cuts in and out. The air coming out of the vents is still cold. Thanks for any advise.

 

welcome to the forum crhartsell20: enjoy your stay.a/c cutting in and out can be from low freon or is normal if freon is at good pressure. . Idle low, possible tune up, idle air control valve or throttle positon sensor, if no engine light.
