Default 97 honda accord DX

I have a 97 honda accord DX automatic. I rebuild the motor and it ran fine. Then a few months went by and it did want to shift. It would rev up high then finaly shift into gear. It got worst and therw a code of P0715. I took it to a transmission place and they said it wasnt holding pressure. So for 1500.00 they rebuilt it. Now it dont want to go fast. It take along time to get up to speed. and it gives a code of p0715 and acts slugsh. Dose anyone got any ideas of what could be doing this or should i take it back.

The p0715 transmission is notorious for having speed sensor issues. The other codes could indeed be caused by the sensor.

Replace both the input and output speed sensor as they love to go out together.

While you are under there, I strongly recommend you change your transmission fluid and filter. Use only ATF+4 fluid and use no additives.

After you do that, disconnect the battery for 15 minutes and drive the car around to retrain the adaptive shifting program. Do a mix of light acceleration, moderate acceleration and wide open acceleration through the gears. After it learns that, drive normally and it will learn the rest in a week or so. During the learning process, some shifts may feel a bit weird.

Hope this will help you.
