Accord 1996 EX : Missing timing belt cover seal
Hi,
The other day the mechanic was changing my brake and he noticed
my timing belt lower cover is missing the rubber seal.
I t seems the mechanic who changed my belt 20,000Km ago didnt put it or forgot it.
1- What are the consequence on my timing belt so far ???
2- Is my timing belt ****ed because of the dust etc.... that get into it ??
3- Should I change the timing belt just in case it is damage ???
4- Should I put the seal or it is good like that ???
Thanks for help

By all means if u can replace the seal then do so?in time depending what kind of road conditions you drive in dirt will accumalate around that area,as far as messing up the belt any factory items that were on the car when it was new are on there for a reason?there not on there just for looks?so if and when possible replace the rubber seal.
