adaptive cruise control
Sometime my car is breaking even if there is plenty of distance between my car and the car in front of me with the setting on the one notch(for lack of a better word). I think it is caused by the car in lane to left or right....anyone else experience this? Or the car applies the break even though a car has exited the lane completely for an exit for example.
Edit: I have a 2017 CR-V EX

you can have anywhere from 1 to 3 bars between you and the car ahead of you. Each bar represents more time for stopping. I think the maximum time, three bars, is 2.8 seconds. The ACC well always adjust your speed to the instantaneous speed of the vehicle you're locked on. Your speed, and the speed of the vehicle to which are locked on, displays on your speedometer in the large numbers, your chosen maximum speed appears underneath the cruise control logo. Your cruise control speed must be set higher than the speed of the vehicle you're following, or ACC will break the lock.
