Default brake issue?

Yesterday I noticed my brakes were starting to grind slightly, and I figured it was just the pads getting worn down, but within the same day it was grindin reallyy bad and there was also a noise as if something was coming into contact with the axle while it was spinning. Then after I bought the brake pads and went to reverse out of the parking lot, it didn't move at first so I gave it gas and it jerked as if the brakes had locked, now everytime I come to a stop it grinds and I hear that same noise and have to give it gas instead of it moving on it own like it supposed to when its in gear, my friend looked at it and he said the rotors needed to be cut, and the pads were fine, but it shouldn't grind or jerk like it has been. Any suggestions or know what's going on?

Sounds like the pads are down to rivets, they will grove your rotors if you don't get them changed ,I would also turn the rotors if needed.

Not sure of your question,I would get new pads and have the rotors turned if needed for a good smooth stop.

have your rotors turn means to take it to the machine shop and resurface the rotors to a smooth surface providing the rotors are not worn to min specs.
