Default Broken Turn Signal

Hi all! I have a 2006 Honda Accord. This morning I found that my left turn signal doesn't work, though it was fine yesterday. It's not a broken bulb, but the turn signal itself (it doesn't even make the turn signal clicking sound, and the blinking light doesn't show up on the dashboard). The right turn signal works fine, only the left one has this issue. If possible, I'd like to fix this myself. I know how to change the oil and replace a tire...does anyone know what might be wrong, and if it's something that an average car owner can fix without having to go to a mechanic?

welcome to the forum, possible damaged turn signal arm. need to get a good used and replace it. not really an average car owner can fix. if you have a honda service or maintenance manual you might be able to do it yourself,.
