Default Can I remove air conditioner hose?

I need to remove this air conditioner hose in order to pull out the alternator on a 1998 accord vtec 3.0
Is this hose pressurized, and will all the freon come out if I unbolt the lower end where the alternator lies?

welcome to the forum. you should not have to remove the a/c hose which is pressurized. Do you have a service manual to replace your alternator. If you intend to do more than replace your alternator in the future, it would be a good idea to get a service or repair manual. and yes all the freon will come out and not a good idea.
will look into more info.

Default thanks for the info!

It appears that the only way the alternator will come out is forward towards the radiator. I would have to remove the fan bracket and wires to make room...but the hose still is in the way of it moving forward?

by removing the radiator fan, the alternator can come out the front. do not disconnect the hose. caution, do not ding the radiator either
