Question CRAZY SHAKING PROBLEM!!!! Any help?

I have a 1997 Acura CL 3.0. Every now and again it develops a bad shake in it. It feels like the wheels are going to fall off. It can't be even safely driven at 45 mph. Other times its smooth as can be, like it normally should be. Sometimes, the shaking isn't AS violent and it comes and goes away after a few minutes. Everytime it does shake, the brakes shake even worse when they're applied. I've replaced the upper ball joints/control arms on both sides, replaced the shocks/struts at all four corners, I've inspected the strut mounts in the front and they're fine. I've replaced both front hub bearings, and both axle half-shafts. Bottom ball joints appear fine. I plan on replacing inner and outter tie rod ends on both sides today. This is getting expensive and VERY frustrating. I took the car to Honda, and they couldn't find anything wrong. The car has 206K miles, but runs like a champ still (aside from the shaking) so I hate to get rid of it. I NEED HELP!!! I'm pretty mechanically inclined and I cannot figure it out if it's not the tie rod ends - inner or outer....

I don't think it's the rotors...if it were, it would shake everytime I brake...it doesn't do that, it's usually smooth

after you replace your tie rod ends, get a 4 wheel alignment. Then check to see if you have vibrations. Also while at the wheel alighnment shop, tell them of what is going on and all the work put in, they might assist. but as SoCal states it could be warped rotors.

Default hi

if you still have the problem try this. the shaking could be the torque converter going in and out of lock up. so next time it does it put the trans in d3 if it goes away the problem is in the trans. you could also find the t.c solenoid and unplug that will set your check light and lower your gas mileage but it will stop the t.c. from going in to lock-up
