Default Foreign object in transmission

Recently after doing a drain and fill of the ATF in my 2010 Odyssey, the extension tip tube of my funnel came off inside the fill hole, and dropped down I tried to get it out, of course, but no luck. Can't see it or feel it with my finger or a wire. The piece is about 3 inches long, clear, soft plastic/vinyl, ~7/16ths diameter. After reading of some similar experiences ( lid caps, funnel ends) that don't sound like they ended in disaster by leaving them in, I have decided to leave it for now and see how it goes. I have put on about 100 miles hiway and town driving since, no apparent problems. I plan to do another drain and fill tonight, just to see what if anything comes out with the fluid, but then I guess I will leave it and hope for the best. Any thoughts or suggestions ( I mean besides the obvious of not being such a moron next time....)?

it could potentially clog the filter hindering oil pressure causing transmission damage. draining won't accomplish anything since it can't bypass the filter.

Thanks for the reply. That makes scary sense to me. How much is involved with gaining access to the area? Is it a huge job to get at, or could a transmission shop get in there relatively easily?

im not familiar with honda mini vans but im guessing a shop with a lift and proper tools could easily gain access but its not going to be cheap cheaper then replacing the transmission though.

3rd pressure swith in tranny is bad p730 code- Trans shift malfunction, could be anything from a bad valvebody to dirty fluid.
