Im in the process of possibly buying a 99 Passport w/ automatic tranny but the gear selector button doesnt want to work all the time. Ive had to turn the ignition off and back on again and/or wiggle the shifter to get it to work. Seems to shift fine once in gear but want to be sure. Is this a major tranny issue or is it just the linkage? It has 90k and there asking $4200. Good deal?
Sorry I didnt have time to search, there giving me a just few hours to figure it out.
Any input anyone has on what it will cost me to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rob
