Default i need help

okay i know this is a honda forum but i have a problem not related with a honda and im hoping that Doug or someone reads this and gives me good feed back okay so i have a 1998 ford escort se wagon.. about 2 months ago it just died so i ran a code scanner on it and it said the EGR valve and the Camshaft Position Sensor was bad.. so i replaced the EGR valve and CPS... still the car would not crank.. in replacing the CPS i had to remove the fuel rail and injectors so i took that opportunity to make sure it was delivering fuel to the motor.. it was.. so i decided to check to see if it was getting spark.. it only got spark to cylinder 2.. i then replaced the coil pack, wires, and plugs... and yet the car still wont crank nor does it feel like it is getting spark... i feel this may be an ecu issue but i need to know a way to test it other than swapping in a new one and seeing if it cranks.. any help would be appreciated

have you checked the the timing belt, may have skipped a tooth or worn out. if you have over 85-120k miles it may be possible. Sorry for the slow reply, I've got a new work schedule.
