Default The Identifying A Seat Belt Challenge! Lol... need your help

Need help identifying the wrong seat belt that was installed by previous owner of a 1998 Honda CRV.

Here's what the scoop is and what we're trying to do. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!!!

So....

The front passenger seat belt was replaced by previous owner and it simply was from a 2000 Honda of some sort (not from a 98 CRV) and it doesn't clip in the buckle- it's a smaller latch/metal clip/whatchamacallit. Guessing that they then never used it, so now we're (new buyers of car) are tying to find out which honda model it came from,... so we can just replace the buckle, as opposed to replacing the entire seat belt retractor assembly stuff.

Talked with a Parts guy at Honda and he said they don't put the part number on the belt- which would make our search a little bit on the difficult side. Haha, totally true.

Any ideas? Can some of you check your belts to see if ours matches yours?

Thanks for your time!!!

Default Seat belt

Hi that Honda Parts guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about. I’ve been in parts industry 15 years. Here’s what I found out: that 98 CRV Honda does indeed make a seat belt for that. The part number is 04813-510-306ZA. It is 95.39. Comes in all colors except charcoal so be sure to have your VIN handy when you call
