Default New crv braking noise normal?

hi we just purchased a new Honda CR-V but when test driving it noticed a little whooshing sound when braking. The sales rep said that was normal since it was new and thing needed to warm up but I wanted another opinion so am asking this board. Does this sound normal where a brand new car could be making bit of a whooshing noise when braking? Or could this be a normal noise for the crv? I don't recall my old accord ever doing that.

welcome to the forum. We just purchased a HR-V, no whooshing noise on our braking. might try another dealer or cr-v to check for the same whooshing noise.

if a car sits long enough rust can form on the rotors, but that gets ground off after 15-30 minutes. you do however need to break in new pads which could take a little while.
