Talking new here 1995 Accord Vtec 2.2 Auto

I just installed a new used engine in my 95 Accord Auto trans. The car was a non Vtec and I installed a Vtec engine F22B1. I was told running the engine would be fine without the Vtec system connected. I've driven the car (set the timing to the center of the 3 marks) and it sure seems like a dog !!! Runs smooth no cel on etc. I was hoping to get some advice.

#2. The engine has a odd sound, coming from the belt area / timing alt. and A/C system. Its whining, I'm hoping to get some expert advice as to the noise. My neighbor has a 99 and it sounds somewhat like mine...
Prepping the car for my daughter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

welcome to the forum. If your engine has a timing belt, it could be the belt tensioner. or if you have any pulley it could be the bearings.

I did replace the t belt and w pump before installing the engine. Its a wearling type of sound which tends to be a Honda thing. Just wondering if its maybe from a loose or tight timing belt....
