welcome to the forum. Who changed the oil? Was the oil level checked after the oil and filter was changed and engine idled for a minute or so.. If you are loosing/burning this much oil, with no oil leaks you should have white/blue smoke out of your exhaust heavy. Oil has to be going somewhere or burning it.

Check the oil level each week and notice how much oil is being lost, also if the oil is dark, usually means, the oil is cleaning the engine. Or the oil is being changed with too many miles. Normal oil change is 3-5k with the newer and better oils. What type oil are you using on your civic?

Welcome to the forums... the oil may be getting burned off it just may be so slowly that the smoke isnt very visible.. also check for small leaks while the engine is running.. it could be an oil pan gasket but that wouldnt leak unless the engine is running.

wayneO, Does the collora have high milage, and how much oil is being burnt. No oil leaks on the ground. My Accord burned 1 qt per 2000miles but passed smog, and no smoke out the tail pipe. Since new to 75k same.

135k on the clock. No smoke or smell. No puddle either. 3-4 qt in less than 2000 mi!
Wonder if it only leaks under pressure so not in the driveway.

depending on driving style. if the car is using 3-4 qts in less than 2k miles, the oil ring could be gummed up. Have you tried lucas engine restore, this sometimes frees up gummed up piston rings and oil rings. I have also tried mystry oil, it cleared up the gummed up rings, but it made my rocker arms rattle for a while until I put in a bit heavier oil eng had 160k "Escort" oil burn dropped from 2 qt per 1k to 1 qt per 2k miles.
forgot to mention, to check your pvc valve, and filter (if installed) and make sure it is working freely.
