Guys I just joined this forum hoping to learn. I have a question...comments will be gladly appreciated. I recently built a B18c for my EG9 92 Civic, swapped out my B16A.
Wiseco Forged Pistons, Honda Engine Kit, Larger Trottle Body, DC Headers, Injen Intake, Crower3rd stageFull Raised Racing Cams, Head Port and Polished, Apexi V-Tec Controller, MSD Injectors, Wires, Coil. Engine is brand new again and looks good too..job was really clean.
Thing is all that money Ispent and at the Dyno we only made 150WHP 100lb Torque. I have an Automatic Tranny on right now. The Car is pulling off real slow and is making this awful "pinging noise" when I touch the gas pedal. I also get a loud noise from what seems to be coming from the intake I hate it and it sounds abnormal. Never heard that on another Car.
Mechanic built alot of fast 300 + WHP Hondas.
Where did we go wrong? He is telling me that if I install a 5 speed gearbox I will feel the power of the Cams.
