Default Question about gas gauge

Hello,
My wife and I just bought a 2023 Honda Accord LX, and even though this may sound like I'm asking a silly question, I'd like to know how to interpret the gas gauge. I'm not used to anything but a dial type gas gauge. This one consists of a series of white rectangles which, I understand disappear one by one as the gas tank is reduced.
My question is: Can anyone tell me approximately how many gallons each rectangle represents? I understand that the tank holds 14.2 gallons. I don't want to take a chance of overfilling the tank.
Thanks,
Louis

Fill it until the pump self shutoff kicks. Do not top it off. Figure 50 miles on the last bar.

Thanks, I'll fill it till it self shuts off. But I'm assuming that others on this forum have the same type of gas gauge. If so, can anyone tell me approx how many gallons each "bar" represents? I'd like to have an approx idea of how many gallons are in the tank at any given time. I'm sure that many of you can help me with this question.

Louis

Looks like you want an exact number. The problem is the fuel level gauges vary a bit. Some lose bars faster than others and visa versa.

Thanks again. No, I don't need an exact number. I don't mean to sound that particular, I would just like to know approximately how many gallons each bar represents. I'm a senior citizen, and I've just never encountered such a gas gauge.. I'd feel more comfortable if I had a rough idea of the value of the bars.
And does each bar disappear completely, or are there partial bars?
And one more question, if I may. How many bars are supposed to appear when the tank is completely full? (when we bought the car, the gas tank was only partially full)

Talk to your dealer or read your manual.

The manual makes no statement about the bars. I thought that this forum might be able to help me with this concern that I have.
My best estimate is that each bar represents about 1.25 gallons.
