Default Replacing side mirror piece

I hit my side mirror against a pole recently. It didn't break off, but the contraction that the mirror is attached to broke off and won't attach. I'm wondering if I could find a replacement part. I stopped by my local O'reily and they said individual parts are not sold but I have to replace the entire side mirror. I'm not sure what this specific part is called and I am looking for second opinions. Please help!

welcome to the forum i have replaced side mirrors on 2 different vehicles, i go to the salvage yard and find the mirror set and replace the whole unit, it is easier and fast. i have also replaced parts and it takes longer. you might try cheaperhondaparts.com and find the name of the part in their parts catalog. you left no info on your vehicle so could not help you look it up. sorry.

Those two mirrors look different and probably not an exact replacement
On top of that, it looks like pieces are broken off the part where the mirror attaches to the adjusting part
It probably would be easier to replace the mirror as a unit
Unless, you want to spend lots of time working on it
You will have to figure out how the new mirror will attach to the old piece
If it won't attach then figure out how to do it so it will stay.

Good luck

You might also find a new unit at junkyard
