rpm revving to fast

rpm revving to fast

well to start out i have a honda civic ek with a b18b1,but my problem is that when i go threw first and second gear it feels like its revving out at 4,000rpms.does anyone know why this is happening?

Welcome in, most people shift at about 3500 RPM's .4000 is not realy that high.
