I have an oil filter relocation kit with an oil cooler on my 97 Civic LX with a B18B1 engine and Garrett turbo. I have the kit together but when I started the car oil comes pouring out of the tiny little pin hole that is on the steel braided hose fitting. I thought maybe I had the lines backwards so I reversed them and it still leaked from that little hole. Is the hose faulty? I had it working right once and then repositioned the relocater to a different spot and now it is leaking....I cant understand why. Does this hole leak if it is pointed down as opposed to pointing up? Does it mean the line is blocked? Is it faulty? Or does it leak if the hose fitting isnt tight enough? I looked on other steel braided hoses and they all have this tiny pin hole on the fitting. So what is it for? PLEASE HELP ASAP!

welcome to the forum. the pin hole in aircraft braided hose is known as a witness hole. this to make sure u have the hose on and a safety wire cannnot go through the hole. It may be the fitting is not up snug to the flare fitting causing it to leak.
