Default Collapsing power steering hose

I have a 1994 Accord LX that has a problem with the power steering. One of the hoses completely collapses when the car is running. Can this be due to a faulty power steering pump?

The car also revs up slightly and then goes back down about every 5 seconds. Maybe related, maybe not. I will deeply appreciate any insights that can help me resolve these issues.
Thanks

Default RE: Collapsing power steering hose

welcome to the forum, change the hose. Hose normally do not collapse, hose may have failed internally ( weak due to heat and wear and time ) then check to see if the rpm changes, this may be a different problem.
