Unsatisfactory Repair? CRV
Hi- Leasing a 2014 CRV. Just picked up car from repair shop after an incident where I got the car wedged in parking spot next to a cement pole. Scratched off the paint and dented in part of the rear passenger door. The moldings were scratched as well. The shop told me $800, but bill ended up totaling $1100. BUT here is the worst part.... the door no longer lines up with the front door, the paint has specks of color, not like the original paint and the molding is falling off in a section and I can see the glue. The guy said "it was the best I could do- but you really needed a new door". I just left wondering why didnt he order a new door after having the car for 6 days? why didnt he call me and tell me the repair was not going to return the car back to its original condition. If the car needed a new door, why didnt he tell me. I just wanted the car repaired- however it had to be done. And...I had to point out the problem to him. He acted like "whats the big deal?" When I return the car to Honda, am I screwed? I stupidly paid out of pocket, as I didnt want my insurance to go up. attaching photos. advice please!

you paid him to do a job which wasn't done correctly you had a contract even a verbal contract holds up in court. i would tell him to fix it correctly or take him to small claims court. did you take it to a licensed body shop or a backyard mechanic ???
