V-TEC basket case problem
I just acquired a 97 Accord with a snapped timing belt. 199K miles on the odometer.
The previous owner said they were tooling along about 65mph when the belt broke.
I haven't torn it down yet. Everything looks VERY clean on the exterior of the motor.
What pointers can you give me to look out for with this engine? I am especially WARY of the head and valve guides. I expect to replace lots of valves.
