XM Radio mode not working in Honda Accord! Help!
Hello, I have a 2006 Honda Accord Coupe EX/V6. My car came w/ a built in XM radio option and I have been listening to XM radio ever since I bought the car in late 2005.
Recently, my xm radio just stoppped working. I would press the "Mode" button on the steering wheel to change from FM radio, to CD player, to AM radio and XM radio. Now, the xm radio option has just disappeared! I'm unable to access it. If I press the "CD/AUX/XM radio" button on the radio itself, it only switches to CD players but still no XM radio!
I tried to have the signal resent from XM radio itself but that didn't work. I attempted to restart the car's computer by disconnecting and re-connecting the battery and that didn't work either. Still no option to listen to XM radio. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the satellite radio tuner itself that comes with the honda factory radio.
If anyone has any other ideas please let me know! It would be greatly appreciated!!! Thx!

@kckfire550 -- Just 2 days ago I was finally able to take my Honda to the dealer. They told me it was something with the radio and since the whole unit is 1 part, they told me I would have to replace the whole unit which was about $700!!! So I'm def not going to do that.
Just yesterday I called XM radio to cancel my subscription and they were able to offer me a brand new radio (external) that I could have installed in my car. The radio is coming with an installation card so I can have it professionally installed for free. They even picked up the shipping! I figured this was my only option since I hate listening to local radio stations. $29.99 was a lot better than $700!!!

Thanks for the quick responses. I did check my subscription and it was up to date. But even if you dont have a current subscription you should still receive the promo channel 1 and a couple others. Well rimmy thanks for saving me some time. I will go that route too. But i still wonder if it could be reprogrammed, but it is too complicated or uncommon. It is probably easier to change the unit, also more profitable.
Thanks Again

update
Ok, so I noticed something weird couple days ago and I thought I would post a reply/update.
My XM radio signal works now on my Honda thanks to the grace of God or some other miraculous being. Since my XM stopped working in my car I got an external xm radio installed and has been working fine ever since. The other day as I was waiting in the drive thru of Whataburger I pressed the "XM/AUX" button and it took me to XM Ch 001. That was never working and now all of a sudden it does!! WEIRD!!!
So with that, I called xm radio to have them transfer back my service to my honda factory installed radio and now it's working like a charm. I have no answers why, but all of a sudden it works now. Just thought I would share!
