my 01 accord acts like the tranny slips between first and second gears as the engine rpm's climbs considerably when shifting between those gears. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

not much info on your 01 accord, so guessing at it. torque converter may be going bad, common problem with 2000 up accords. go to HondaProblems.com and go to the transmission section, it will show you what you might do to get help from Honda. also check all your solinoids for cleaness.
or you can change the trans fluid using honda fluid only, no additives and see if this helps. if the car is used, the previous person or non honda dealer could have put in a chemical trans no slip. this is a no no.

 

I had problems with the tranny in my 2000, flushed it and has been working fine.
