I'm new so be gentle please. Lololo. My questions to you informed guys is,my navigation system has been displaying a message sometimes saying"can't find location "and then the whole unit shuts down. Sometimes it will direct you to the location and shut down while in route. I know it needs to be "updated"with a newer version dvd but does anyone know if the blacking out is Hondas way of getting you into the dealer? If so, if I buy the dvd is there a major process in installing the new dvd? Or do I have to be a computor wizard? Thanks for any help. Tom P.

 

Welcome to the forum,What I would do is call Your Honda Dealer and ask them if this is the way the nav. system acts when the unit needs updating,and while at it ask the cost to update the unit. That sounds a bit out of the ordinary for Honda to do something like that,my guess is you have a short to ground somewhere.
