re: 2014 Accord sedan base mdl
It would not start in Park. We recalled this happening to a 1988 Accord sedan.
With the '88, we shifted to neutral and sometimes back to Park & then it started.
With the '88, there was some kind of washer-type thing on a shaft that was not moving properly.
I think this must be a similar problem, but I don't remember what it was called, etc.
(Yes, the battery was new this year.)
Any thoughts?

 

Need to check the range switch. Do you have a capable scan tool?

 

No scan tool. Range switch sounds like a good place to start.

 

There's a way to adjust the shift cable using a 6mm pin. You have to take the center consul off.
I can see if I can get the info.

 

We found the problem to be the starter.
Range switch seemed to be okay.
But thank you for the suggestion.
