hope the other party have insurance. if not hope you have uninsured motorist insurance. the best thing to do is drive around different shops and get quotes. my 93 honda had a similar amount of damage back in 97 and it was around 3g to fix it all. it was a hit and run. i paid 500 deductable and my insurance paid the rest.

 

if the frame is bent, insurance would normally total the car in this condition. ( ca ) quite a bit of major damage. 3k does sound good on repair.
