No, this isn't a sales pitch. I have just aquired, from my Grandad a '94-'95 Honda Accord EX Sedan (Automatic Transmission).

I just wanted to know if I should be checking anything to start with. The engine is in excelent condition for 160,000 miles.

Any sugesstions? Like, Checks, or anything? Oh, and does anyone have a good, SAFE method of cleaning the upholstry and gauges, and well, the interior without damaging any electrical systems? (Aside from being careful of course?)

 

i reccomend you have sythetic oil change done to it. make sure you have the timing checked. ajust your air fuel ratio from the intake manifold. if you know how. ummm. change you 02 sensor its probably has never been changer but it will help you get gas milage. make sure you adjust tire pressure and fill them to the required levels. and if the tire is hot fill it 5psi higher than normal. and to clean the interior buy armor all wipes and whipe everything down in your dash dont worry about electrical systems your no where near hurting them. check your brakes and alignment for wears on your tires the alignment can cause major damage on your tired if not aligned properly. check if you cat back system isnt leaking anywhere for emition purposes.. and you should be on a fit way to driving for another 100,000 miles... good luck and safe driving.
