Anyone know the test for a bad head gasket and the procedure for fixing/repairing one?

 

bad head gasket can be seen with lots of bubbling in the radiator with the cap off ( not hot ) remove cap before starting and watch. Do a compression check and it will be very low to 0 if leaking bad. If you go to Autozone.com and register, there may be a procedure set up, for a head gasket. not sure what year the autozone goes up to. If you get a service manual, this will save you a lot of money to do your own work.

 

I picked up a used Haynes repair manual and am reading that.
