Default 1999 accord lx noise....

I recently purchased a 1999 honda accord lx and it seems like I got completly scammed! First it was the Catalytic converter, then the Crankshaft sensor, and eventually the distributor. (All in the first month) But when I first bought it, it seemed to run a lot quieter than it does now, all I really care is that its running well, but if anyone knows what the cause of this may be? Thank you!!!!

welcome to the forum. Did you have a muffler shop change the catalytic converter or Honda Dealership. If muffler shop, you may have a more free flow cat than stock causing more noise. Can you discribe the noise a bit, muffler, rattle, louder cold than hot, etc.

p1381 is cylinder position sensor intermittent interruption. few things to do, check and clean your battery connections of corrosion, ck alternator to see if the rpms drop heavy when accessories are turned on, check the yellow wire to the sensor for security and the sensor for 880 ohms, check the distributor cap and rotor for arcing or corrosion inside. from the distributor follow the yellow line to the pcm/ecm, disconnect the harness and check for any shorts or pins pushed back out of place and continuity from the distributor connecor and pcm harness. connection can be lost if the wire is moved around. pcm/ecm may be at fault if all the above checks show nothing. This was found from WikiAnswers.
