2003 Accord Automatic Transmission Shifting Problem
Hi,
I have a 2003 Accord EX V6 Sedan with the 5 speed automatic (103,xxx miles). Recently (maybe since it has gotten cold) the shift from 2nd to 3rd gear is preceeded by the rpms raising by a few hundred then it shifts. It's worse if i am trying to accelerate quickly. The fluid level is a little low, so i'm going to add some fluid. Could this be the problem? Any ideas or advice is appreciated.
Thanks,
Jackie

welcome to the forum, has the transmission been serviced on a normal interval, like each 30k. the filter gets dirty after a lot of miles. Are you using the proper trans fluid. Hondas are sometimes particular of the fluids used. Then there is a relay on the transmission and this goes bad. May need a Helms or service manual for better info. Also can go to the Library for more info.
