I have a 2006 Honda accord EX V6 with 291,000 miles, second transmission with 100,000-150,000 miles on it. I've changed the fluid and put on a new 1st and 2nd gear solenoid and now having this problem where I put it in D and start driving and as soon as I stop the car. The Transmission does not always reset to first gear. I can take the stick and manual put in in first but if I don't start driving and put in right into drive its like it goes into neutral. But if I start driving when I put it in first and then to drive it will shift through the gears fine. Any suggestions?

 

Need to be looking at it with a good scan tool and see it things are responding correctly.
Find all codes.

 

no check engine light. I will hook up a scanner tomorrow and see if any codes pop up.
