I recently purchased a new 2010 honda accord coupe. I now have about 1000 miles on it. On my way to work each day, i have to travel down a mountain. When i get to the bottom of the mountain, where it is flat and level, the car isn't upshifting, and the rpm's go really high(up to 4 or 5). The engine sounds like it is roaring when this is occuring. I think the grade logic control system on this car has something to do with this. Any ideas, advice, or recommendations?

 

welcome to the forum. My 07 fit has grade logic, when get to the bottom of the hill the rpm is high and will shift out after I accelerate a bit. If you feel it is a problem or holds too long, document what it is doing and tell your dealer to check it. Not all cars are the same.
