normally struts are good for about 40-100k. My dealer said my struts were still good on the 02 civic when it turned 120k. But should consider changing them soon. Now at 220k I know its soft.

Yea ,I tried pushing on the hood and watching the return and it seemed firm, well last night my wife call and said she wrecked the Honda, someone on a cell phone hit her in the rear and shoved her into another car,the damage is not to bad just parts changing it looks like but this car was ordered special from Honda with the ground effects all around ,it took 3 weeks to get them added,I only hope we can still get the ground effects .The front and rear are split along with both heads lights and rear brake light panel are broken ,no one was hurt, this car was her pride and joy, just perfect, well taken care of and some bimbo on a phone damages it,and never said I'm sorry, well we will get it fixed up,I have written up thousands of incident reports on the job but have never expierenced what it feels like to be in an accident.

I am glad that your wife was not hurt, the car can be fixed, life cannot. Get the car fixed to perfect, or find a good shop to fix the car. Make sure you check the underside and front frame good. Struts on the Honda are not hard to change if you plan to do it.
