I have a 2012 Honda Accord 4 cyl. auto and have recently encountered an issue with it. Under normal use, the car seems to do fine, but when I get into the throttle, it wants to hang in 3rd gear. It doesn't happen every time it shifts from 3-4, but I'd say it's at least half the time. Sometimes I can take my foot completely off the throttle and it'll shift up, but other times it won't shift until I pull it into D3 and go back into drive. All the shifts are smooth, it doesn't make any odd noises or anything, it just doesn't want to go into 4th. It seems to be happening more and more often, so I'd like to fix the issue before it gets too much worse. Anybody experienced a similar issue? Any ideas what the problem could be?

 

welcome to the forum. have you ever had the trans fluid changed, also is the fluid level correct.
