Default 2014 Honda Accord Sport Edition Key Reprogram

Hi All,

Does anyone have any experience with re-programming their key with remote? I have my master key, but fear my spare key with remote may have been stolen as I believe that it was in my purse that was stolen, and I haven't been able to find it.

Trying to figure out the best, most affordable way to handle this. I've seen some videos about re-programming it on your own, but I'm not sure if that really works. I'd rather be safe than sorry, so if anyone has any advice on what I should do, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

welcome to the forum. if your purse was stolen, your car may be next, might be a better idea if you got a new key all together so the thief has no chance to getting your car. might think of the house key also if they are all attached together. If only the car key, best way is have the dealer do it. (just a suggestion)

Thank you for your response. Fortunately, it was only my car key - no house key. I'm bringing it into the dealership in the morning, just to be safe.

Buy a new fob only and have it programmed. Your lost remote will not work. The lost door key will still open the door but won't allow the car to be driven.
