2015 Accord Sport fuel conserving speeds
This is a little tricky with this particular transmission. I used to wait for my car to shift into 4th and just hang out at the bottom of 4th gear. But I can't really tell when this car shifts. (Although this car flat out tells you your mpg).
I got mid 50s hanging out around 45 mph (I'm talking an 8 mi trip) although I got real lucky with green lights on that run. And I do feel I could've done better without stops.
On the other hand I got mid 60s on a short stretch of highway going 55 mph, although I know for a FACT that's a downhill stretch of highway.
Keep in mind these aren't averages but a measurement on short distances,, resetting once up to speed.
So both scenarios have asterisks next to them. Bottom line:
Has anyone figured out how to squeeze miles out of a gallon? Any advice?
