Hello- question - I have owned my accord for 12 years, and when the gas guage gets to E I fill it up - I have put 13 gallons in almost all the time. Well, I read the manual and it says that the tank holds 17 gallons - Honda gives us a 4 gallon cushion when the guage is at E or below E?

Any info would be appreciated.

welcome to the forum, you are correct. the fuel capacity of the accord is 17.1 gal. and yes the E or fuel light goes on, and you have a reserve of approx 4 gal. This was done for guys like me who drive and don't pay attention to the fuel guage at times, especially at night so when the light goes on, I go fill up but know that I still have a few gallons to get to a station. had a 90 accord, with a smaller tank and less reserve.

One other question, the fuel light does not come on - it never has - I checked for a fuse, but did not see one for this light - any suggestions?
