The oil in the trans. has been changed 4 times during the life of the car and does not smell or look burned. Im seeking some advise before i take it to a trans. mecanic.

2 Things that may help you. first do you live in what honda considers extreme climate i.e. 100+ temp in the summer and well below freezing in the winter if so your fluid should have been changed every 30k miles
also if you take your transmission to a tranny shop and they attempt to fix it and it doesn't work or doesn't last and you end up having a honda dealership replace it with a reman. trans you won't get your $1,200 core charge credit if the case has ever been opened on the trans and trust me they have dozens of taddle tales built into that thing. just some food for thought. but it does sound like you do have a trans on the go.

welcome to the forum. It may be your shift switches at the transmission not allowing the shift to shift properly. If you have a honda/acura shop, or a good dealer service dept, they maybe able to check this out.
