First posting here, and i'm having a problem with my 1995 Honda accord, Automatic. I was driving on the freeway just a couple days ago going about 75 mph and all of a sudden my RPM turns up to 5 and I my speed slowed down to about 25 MPH. Pulled over, and tried giving the acceleration a little push and the RPM just started going crazy. I have no idea what could be the issue. Someone HELP ME!

 

While driving 75mph and the rpm goes up to 5000 rpm, sound like the trans went into neatural or slipped or failed. If your idle goes up and down, sounds to be a idle control valve. check for fluid burnt or low fluid in the transmission, check your idle control valve for cleaness. Welcome to the forum.
