I changed the battery and re-entered my code. the radio works but not the CD player. Even pressing the CD button does not help. It does not even enter the CD mode. Any recommendations on how to fix this issue is highly appreciated.

 

Yea, get a new cd player. If your fuses, connections, and wire insulation are all the way they were off the assembly line, your system should be good. I'de suspect a short somewhere that did internal damage. What year is your car?

 

It is Accord 2006. The Cd player was showing LOAD but not taking in any cd's. After a minute it was sowing ERR. After researching in internet a bit, I thought of re-setting the audio system. I have the radio code so i disconnected the battery and re-connected it, entered the code. The radio works fine now but any of the CD buttons are not working.
