Default Changed Accord VP Wheels, not enough clearance

Hi,
I own Accord VP 2007. I recently purchased 16" alloy wheels that are compatible with my car. After driving my car for a month or so, it started to vibrate. After inspecting the wheel I noticed that there was a cut in my wheel (front driver side). Based on visual inspection it looks like it was caused by low clearance between the top of my wheel and the car body. I switched my wheels back to 15" and I haven't had such problem with it since.
I really want to use these wheels. So should I raise the car, get new suspension or some other solution?

Thank you

welcome to the forum. If you go to the America's Tires web site, you may be able to find the correct tire to use to fit the nice rims you have. then decide if you may still need to raise the car.
